However, having restored the original installation registry when I try to boot Windows I now get an error relating to ISASS.EXE. It flashes on and off to fast but it's basically saying the passwords aren't correct (but in techno speak). Te computer then reboots itself and get caught in an endless loop.

You usually get this error when you have lights of two different styles lighting the same face. For example one light blinks fast, and the other one has a random flicker. I run the command from a ramdrive and I can see it creates the .pwl file and I set I need to use it this way because some pc's don't have floppy drives and the CDBOOT and ramdrive is a great and fast way to do it.
